Mr. Ahmad Taghavi, CEO of Tirajeh Film Company, is the guest judge for selecting the best TV and radio ads in December 2016.
Seyed Ahmad Taghavi was born in Tehran in 1334. After completing his education up to diploma level, he entered Radio and Television College. He received a B.A in film production and filming. And at the same time, he started his job as a cameraman and director in the Radio and Television Organization. While cooperating with Radio and Television Organization, he worked in the then War Propagation Headquarters for five years, as well. He is a wounded-in-action of the Imposed War.
In 1369 he founded Tirajeh Film Company and since then he has been the managing director of this company. The Tirajeh Company has worked with many customers in different sections during its many years of activities. Some of its important customers include Sony, Aiwa, Shell, Nokia, Tejarat Bank, Irancel, Kachiran, Barez Tire, Ladan Vegetable Shortening, Saipa, Chitgar Tooba Complex and so on.
In addition to his main activity, he has been active in many other sections as follows:
  • Founder and member of Iran’s Association of Documentary Cinema
  • Founding member of Iran’s Association of Advertising Companies
  • Multiple memberships of Board of Directors of Iran’s Association of Advertising Companies and at present, deputy chief of this association
  • Member of the Board of Directors of Auditory Association of Iran’s Guidance Organization
  • Advertising advisor for the then Tehran Mayor, Mr. Karbaschi for seven years
  • Founding Board of Payam Rasa Company
  • Directing tens of advertising and documentary films

In selecting a TV advertisement as a superior ad, you can not understand it correctly solely by seeing and hearing it and therefore; you need certain information about the advertisement such as brief and … But due to the lack of this kind of information, I can express the criteria of selecting TV advertisements as follows:
  • Selecting the appropriate and effective theme and dialogue and meaningful slogan (such as “Behind every window, there is a life going on”)
  • Producing images with CG quality in line with new creativity and pensive filming accompanied by more or less acceptable music.
  • Thematic suspension till achieving the introduction of a product or service with a billboard and an appropriate rendition and generally speaking, being comprehensible and accessible to public viewers.

In general, radio advertisements, with an exception of one case which seems to have been copied from a radio program (or maybe TV), other advertisements are considered to have been nothing more but printed notices and flyers and void of my viewpoints in their selection. The relevant case, due to being lengthy in following and hearing the theme in a satirical expression, has also been somehow advertising per se. For these reasons, no particular cases are selected in radio advertisements.
